Hard Work. Done Easier. 5 Tips for Entrepreneurs.

Construction, History, Life
This is how Entrepreneurship Makes you feel.

Today, now more than ever, the internet and social media have allowed people to pursue their dreams of being an entrepreneur with greater access to resources and services. This has created a huge amount of competition across all industries.

This means that every entrepreneur must work even harder to leverage their chances of success in developing their ideas. Towards this, I've set out five important things every entrepreneur must consistently do:

1. Set Attainable Goals

As an entrepreneur, you must continue planning attainable goals or you will quickly lose steam. Complacency is the anti-matter to your goals and must be kept at a minimum.

Working toward your goals will give you a vital sense of purpose, while seeing them completed will boost your self-confidence. The completion of your goals will also relieve stress, anxiety and communicates your priorities to the people in your life.

How to Set Attainable Goals?

Break your larger goal into smaller ones by isolating the parts required to accomplish the larger goal. Set the info down in a visual context (mind map, idea tree, etc..) and go about completing each smaller goal. Maintain and adapt the larger visual context as things change and new goals become apparent.

Do It, Action

2. Take Specific Actions that Produce Results

Now that you've set down the smaller goals to accomplish, take one of them and see if you can further break it down to tasks to complete.

A Closer Look at Taking Action, 7 To Do's:

  1. Conditions Will Never be Perfect
“Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” ~ Mark Victor Hansen
  2. Do It
Hesitating at the wrong time will increase your chances of failure while also reducing your exposure to opportunities. Establish your priorities... then do them.
  3. Ideas ≠ Success
The trick with your ideas is about execution.
  4. Bold Action Cures Fear... Every Single Time
What are you really scared of? Take a long look at what you fear and you'll be closer to understanding the illusion of fear. Kill your fear by taking action and confronting it with the actions needed to move past it.
  5. Jump Start Your Brain
Here are three quick, attainable goals that will jump start your brain.
    • Leave the house and run/walk to a place you haven't been before.
    • Grab a book of fiction and open it to a random chapter and read it. Try to mentally connect the ideas your reading about even though you may not know the plot.
    • Call someone you haven't talked with in a long time.

Memes, laughs
It's True.

3. Create Back Up Plans. Know How to Activate Them

Any plan can fail. That is the nature of plans, they are all prone to failure. Accept this and you'll better understand how your plan might fail, thus allowing you to minimize the ways in which your plan can.

4. Listen, Listen, Listen

It can be difficult to take criticism and feedback as anything but personal, but you must avoid taking it that way in all your dealings with your clients. Remember, all feedback, both positive and negative, teaches you something about your work, individual preference/taste and how to better deliver a quality service/product.

5. Patience is The Difference

Patience is the key to a higher potential for success, you must not forget that. Many people have ideas, but only the successful ones have the patience to see them through to the end.

Entrepreneurship isn't easy and it shouldn't be but it can be less difficult with the right planning and executions of those plans.
